Here, it's all "associations" - my town has a "club" that I go to when I can - you can do all sorts of activities. Most towns have a special day around September (la rentrée) to showcase the local associations.

Not much committee stuff here. I'm running a patchwork workshop in October and we're using the blocks made at the meeting for a charity quilt.
