  • Grr, bleedin thievin b'stards!

Got to the plot today, to do the winter Oxalyic Acid treatment on the beehives, and then to plant a plum tree, do some clearing up and see what else we could get done.

Was a bit surprised when we arrived to find the shed catch not in its normal 'down' position, so had a look inside, some b'stard has been on our plot, and taken the new kettle, the new gas cooker and all the stainless steel forks and spades!

The 2 stainless steel spades and 2 forks were only 12 months old, a treat we allowed ourselves to have last year, now we've got to go and buy some more before we can do any digging, and buy another kettle and stove too!

Wish I could find the low life scum who think its ok to take what doesnt belong to them, I'd show them exactly how I felt, dont think they would be able to walk very well afterwards, not with a kettle up their bum and 2 forks pinning their feet to the ground!
    Blessings

    Oh flipping heck

Just the occasional dishonest person spoiling things for everyone....yet again.
You work so hard on your plots...you really don't deserve to have that happen to you.

    xx

ps...I love the image you've left in my mind!!!

Our site was burgled last week as well: if they looked in my shed they obviously thought there was nothing worth nicking (it looks like just piles of canes and plastic carrier bags: my tools are hidden underneath the rubbish)

I was burgled in the house 2 years ago and they took everything that I had from my Mum who had died a few months before. I understand the frustration you must feel, if I could get my hands on them................

Grr, looking at prices of replacements, good stainless steel spades and forks seem to be about £28 each, a new camping stove will be £10, new stainless kettle is gonna be about £10, so looks like its gonna cost us almost £150 to replace what some git probably sold for £5 at a car boot sale!

Anyone got any recommendations for a good spade and fork, prefferably stainless steel, prefferably not too expensive, and with a long handle option (as Im over 6' tall, so a long handle would suit me better!)

Mr D has found a 2 for £30 from Tescos, for spear and jackson ash handled stainless steel diggin fork and digging spade, tho methinks we may have to get a border spade too, cos that seems to have gone too (tho they left the old border fork with the bent tines!)

So sorry to hear this Mrs D. Snadger was talking about a heart shaped spade he got in Netto for only £6.00 on Recommendations, think it was just before Christmas and not sure if it was stainless, but you could take a look if you have a store near you.

Yeah, it is an extra insult to think how LITTLE the thieves actually got from their 'work'. While it wouldn't be any nicer to think they made a decent profit, somehow it would be ... less offensive!

it could be people who are so desperate to garden that they nicked your tools. if that's the case, they may birng them back?
I'm looking on the bright side..or trying to...

Sorry to hear about your theft.
As has been said they probably didn't get much for thier thieving!!
We had a 6 x 8 Aluminium greenhouse that we'd just been given stolen last year. We'd not even got the glass in it!
Hope you get some good diggin' tools soon. Don't leave them in the shed though! The little thieves may be back!!
