Not that it helps but have you informed the police, our local bobbies always tell us to report these thefts from allotments, I guess you have informed the committee just in case you are not the only ones.

Sorry you have had to deal with this.

This is why we bought our forks/spades for the lottie from Wilko. They also do camping gear.

You are so right Florence....and its a little (big) cracker. I've wanted one for ages. Its straight hicory shafted, NOT stainless steel but has a ten year guarantee. Haven't used it yet, but looking forward to using it.

Sorry to hear about your shed being burgled Mrs D.

If a burglar broke into mine he could possibly take pity on me and leave me something as its a bit devoid of good gear (All stashed at home you see!)

If they broke into ours they'd think it had already been turned over..........

We have been broken into before, there is now no lock on the shed and when the camping cooker was up there it was hidden elsewhere

How desperate are the scumabgs when they have to steal from a garden shed.

If it is any consolation, any scumbag that does that sort of thing is probably a drug addict or an alki. They are at the bottom of the stack and must be suffering so much that they have abandoned all sense of self respect and morals in thier desperate search to fulfill thier cravings.

With luck they will be found at the bottom of a ditch somewhere having overdosed.

Good luck finding replacements. Might be worth marking your tools clearly so that they are not worth anything to scumbag thieves. Might also think about not leaving anything of value in your shed. In an ideal world nobody would do such a thing, but we live in what used to be Great Britain. A country that I was once so proud to have served. Nowadays I often wonder why I bothered.

Sorry to hear about your brake-in Mrs D

I've not left my S&J fork and spade on the lottie I took them home before Christmas just incase, I got them 2 for £30 at Tescos, but I snapped the fork clearing the plot, took it back and got £20 back, so I got a new fork from Argos, Think I nip up to plot 1 and just make sure my sheds ok though now..

Sorry to hear about you bad luck!

We have had two lots of break in's on our site since the event in december, ours was not touched so we were very luck.

Hope you manage to replace your items without too much cost.

You could also try freecycle and pick up some second hand ones - then at least you wont be loosing out finantially next time.
Sorry to hear about your theft
