Im Back!!!
I had a great time...spent most of the time in the sauna and in the open top deck jacuzzi while on the boat but did manage to visit the aquarium,viking feast,the North Cape and of course the dog sled ride
The weather was ok,snowed quite a bit once we passed the artic circle but it was cloudy the whole time,did see the Northern lights,but it wasn't like you see on telly it was just a small blob of green in the sky that was gone as quick as it came but at least I can say I saw the lights ooh almost forgot I saw a killer whale too!!! ...no photo's of the whale either though as it was was just as elusive as the lights.
My mother and I had lots of laughs usually at each other slipping and falling in the ice and snow.
I would recommend it but only from the Artic circle up and back before that there's not much to do or see.
I will put some pics up as soon as I get them off the camera and work out how to upload...must warn you though its mainly snowy rocky islands

I know its been cold hear lately, but I thought the only lights you could see on the waverley came from Weston.!!

Go on then how cold did it get?

I'm off to yllas in lapland in three weeks, so I'm watching with interest the weather over there at the moment.

It wasn't very cold to begin with Mikeywills, when I phoned home it was -8 in Swansea and above freezing there...but once we crossed the artic circle the temp dropped alot (not sure what it was) I was wearing four thermal tops,a pair of thermal bottoms,jeans,and those puffy ski type trousershat gloves and my coat and I was comfortably warm! Hope you have good weather and lots of fun
