I've been chatting with a non-Grape person who lives close to Bob's who has the top bar bee hives featured in Carol Klein's new series. He's offering to come chat to us, perhaps with another Brit beekeeper, to talk about these 'African' styles hives and eco beekeeping.

      Good idea? Bad idea?

I'm sure there's at least another couple to go on that list too Bins, so should be a decent number.
Great idea re the bee fellow Tony, will give directions to chez moi closer to the time, should stop some of you driving round and round the village looking for a longere (smiley face).

We were looking at hotels in Rennes, but we can't afford the ferry (£500 ) so we aren't coming after all.

Thanks TS, but my son lives in Rennes so we could stay with him but I'd rather be closer to Bob's place. When you google Eancé, you get zilch so we need Bob or Mme Pastis to help.

That's terrible news TS but perhaps you could join up with someone else who can take you with them for a share of the cost. It would be a shame if we can't get to meet you

I have found a fairly cheap hotel HERE I don't know any more about it (I haven't stayed there) but the chances are that there are more like this in the area. These type of hotels are very basic but usually clean and comfortable and reasonably cheap. Breakfast is not included (EUR 4.70) but children under 12 are free and pets are allowed I'm sure Bob will be along with a better list but, here's one for now.
EDIT: I should add that I am notoriously bad at geography and I might have picked an hotel on completely the wrong place. Please be sure that it is where I think it is and not actually a million miles from Bob's.
