Mine's in the steamer and I can smell it now.
I got a taste for it when I was at Universiity in Edinburgh. 2nd & 3rd years there were 6 of us sharing a flat. Most of the time we'd all be off doing various things, but every Wednesday we'd gather and have Haggis, tatties & neep for dinner, taking it in turns to cook it. Tasty, nutritious and, most importantly, cheap! There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.

Steaming time depends on size!
We are having our haggis and clapshot tomorrow (because I go out Tuesdays and don't eat supper), and sharing a 'single portion' size, which should take about 30 mins steaming. Haggis is nice, but VERY bad for weight loss programs!Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

No Haggis for me this year - my Grandad would turn in his grave - but it does't agree with me.

We had haggis last night, as OH is away on business tonight. It was a bit of the spur of the moment thing when i was in M&S and they had a special offer on . But I had turnip and potato at home, so grabbed a nice wee haggis.
Trying to tot up the calories afterwards, studying the label, I was shocked to discover M&S haggis has never been near a sheep, but is very well aquainted with pigs!
I love M&S and I love their food, but i'm not sure they should be allowed to call it Scottish haggis, even if it was very tastyCaro
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day
