ooooo..i love snow peas! they are such a treat as I can't find them cheap to sprout
I've had good results sprouting the dried peas that they sell for making mushy peas. (The bachelors bigga ones) Just give them a soak overnight first. It's only about 44p a box.

(hoping this doesnt sound stuupid) could you sprout the split peas?
Glad I saw this thread. My hand hovered over a bag of mung beans in Tessies the other day, but I was put off having a go at sprouting them because it said on the bag that they shouldn't be eaten raw! Was this just refering to the seeds in their unsprouted state? - Beacause of course technically they are still raw when they are sprouted. All confused now....

Beansprouts that you buy in a bag (the white ones) are sprouted mung beans
I knew Mung beans were a popular option for sprouting, so was just a bit suprised that it said they shouldn't be eaten raw on the pack. What the heck! Going shopping tomorrow, I'll get some. If you don't hear from me for a while.......
