Oh heck, good job DH and I never plan to move - six rooms in this house are FULL of bookcases, which are FULL of books and a couple of other rooms might not be full, but there are still books! Ask Flummery - she's seen the evidence.
It's the wall of fabric I envy!
(refusing to be drawn on the lippy Kindle remark!)
i suppose i might worry if they were DIY books........or GAS INSTALLATION FOR DUMMIES manuals!!
May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
No such thing as too many books, if I had the massive dream house then I'd have a room with bookcases floor to ceiling and one of those ladders that you can wheel round to get to the books. Would also have a lovely big comfy chair where I could sit for hours although perhaps it's best I don't have this as I'd never get anything done
I think My MIL may have to disagree, What was the lounge is now taken over with bookcases that protrude into the room , there are piles of them everywhere. Now in the kitchen his chair is surrounded by piles of books, and they are piled up on every available surface to the point of being dangerous. I love books but there is a point at which it becomes ridiculous and a safety hazard. The dining room ( which MIL has tried to turn into a sitting room for herself) is not as bad but still has bookcases as do the spare bedrooms.
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber
