Two Elstars and a Cox! Cox and Elstar for new house garden as they pollinate each other and an Elstar for lottie as I don't think I've got one.
To answer another grapes question..........I don't think they are on a really dwarfing rootstock but tuthers that I am growing in a cordon along with pears along the edge of my lottie are faring very well and are quite prolific.
I have them cordoned at 45 degrees with an overall vertical height of 6 foot only.
They all came from Aldi or suchlike over the years and were all bare rooted. I have about 10 different varieties now.
The Cox and Elstar I've bought for my retirement house garden, and I'm going to have a go at growing these in an ornamental Espalier against the fence.
A long time project which hopefully I will reap the rewards to on my retirement!
They are all going in a water butt this evening for a soak with a view to planting them at the weekend.

I've been planning to grow some espaliers in the back garden for a few years, would these sit happily in a pot for a couple of weeks, as I'm unlikely to get them into there forever home for about three weeks.

They would probably sit in a water butt ok for a couple of weeks..........like my last lot did!
I'll let you know about the Elstar in a year or two!
