I shall probably be hiding from a mad rabble of very cross Algerians. They've seen whats been going on round and about, and are deciding at the moment when and where they are going to do the same thing.
Mme P will get her present when I get home.....

A day off from work (for me as OH is retired) planning a trip to Whisby Nature Reserve with a pop into the Lincoln Waitrose on the way home - that decides tea. As for pressies I have a book club box sat here with things she wanted plus some cds from Amazon too. If I'm lucky I get a thank you.

I send Mr R twelve red roses, we exchange a nice card, have a heart-shaped meal and a bottle of sparkly.

We're working, so we are celebrating today. We're cooking a meal: crispy duck pancakes, beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding. I wasn't planning on doing anything heart shaped, but I might squeeze a few in.

I've got the OH a card and i think he might get me one too. I'm happy to leave it, but OH insisted.

i was going to be apart from my OH but he has now informed me he will be in the country for about 48hrs.(he works out of the country for 3wks a month). i had given him a card and a small gift to open for monday.
as he is just coming back to fix my car for me, i suspect thats my gift.....an alternator!. the best bit is tho, we get to wake up together, so i'm happy!.

We may go find a M&S so we can buy ourselves one of their 'ready meal to celebrate' efforts. Bad for the diet, but a day off won't hurt.

Went to Tezzies today and got lamb shanks etc, potato gratin, raspberry creme brulees and a bottle of pink bubbly all for £15 so that's the nosh sorted. Madmax is usually away at work but has said he is going to work from home on Monday (don't say anything on f/book please) so we can snuggle I have bought him a card though we usually make them.

Gonna do pan-fried chook breasts and asparagus and cheesy mash so that the kids can join in - they ain't getting any bubbly though

I've thought for a while that V Day is simply designed to get as much money out of couples as possible and to make singles feel like social lepers. I always used to make Himself a card as I refused to buy one, but last year I didn't get round to it so had to I'd quite happily stop with the cards, we both know we love each other, say it often enough - therefore card =waste of time/money/trees.

We're having a curry, which I'll be cooking as he's working and I'm thinking of doing three mini desserts but not sure yet. Was thinking of throwing a 'finger to V Day party' and asking people to arrange their V Day plans for another day (as, you know - there are other days) and instead come and get tipsy with their mates, but I wasn't organized enough. Maybe next year

Don't think we're doing anything special. It's our wedding anniversary next week too, so might go out next weekend, have a day trip to somewhere. We're together 24/7 so we're soppy anyway without cards etc.

I've decided that rather than a card and flowers and/or chocolates, I'd rather have Lily of the Valley bulbs/pips, so the BH has ordered me 50!! (might have donate a few to my mum)
