I've Sky+'d it and hopefully will settle down to watch it this evening.

Beautiful, fascinating, oh & the programme wasn't bad either!
It gives you a sense of how small we are & how time & space will progress whatever we do, quite an awe-inspiring show really.

Great programme and fantastic photography. Watched the first series and will be waiting eagerly every Sunday night for this one.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

The Book People have the book accompanying the series on offer for £7.99 plus p&p (I think it's about £1.75 for just one book).

Is it me, or does Prof Cox look a bit more salt & pepper this series?

I keep catching the last 2 to 3 minutes, is it me or is he religious.

There seems like a lot of 'greater being' connotations to me when he's summing up.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

No I don't think he is religious at all from what I've read, he just tries to get across what a tiny part of the universe we are. If you'd caught the rest of the programme you'd have seen how he explained how we're all made up from the same elements as everything else in the universe & his explanations would horrify creationists. I actually think I understood most of the programme & some of the experiments he did to demonstrate the properties of the elements etc. took me back to chemistry lessons at school, I wish he'd been there to teach me!

                            Yep me too.

Didn't reckon much to his explanations, and whatever he was trying to get across, he seemed to 'wander about' all over the place. Maybe its because I've a scientific background but I won't bother watching him again, although he went to some pretty places.

Could it be that religion is born of the universe that surrounds us? After all "we" used to consider the Sun a God (as he mentioned in one episode).

Found his latest offering rather slow and a bit on the boring side too - too much reliance on beautiful scenary but not much actual content. Shame really as I think he's a good bloke and his last series was much better.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
