Family holiday in uk, any recommendations?

Hi all

Looking at a family holiday 4 nights midweek either mon 30th may or mon 6th june, 3 aduts, 2 kids and 2 dogs, any ideas without the crazy prices I'm getting around £1000!

So much to do for kids and dogs. My favourite place. We went camping last year for a week and didnt take the dog and there was not one thing that we did that we could have included the dog.

There is really so much to do and it is beautiful and tranquil too.

Loads of caravan parks in west of scotland....we have a holiday home on Hunters Quay Dunoon and get a load of english visitors over the summer with lots for the kids to do..

I've never used it, but I know a lot of people who recommend it a lot and if weren't planning to camp this year we'd be using it.

We hardly ever go on holiday abroad anymore and usually hire a cottage for a week...is this the sort of thing you're looking for?

Thanks guys, not camping got my 74 year old mum with us, so need a place with a bedroom for her and us and the kids can camp int he lounge

Last year we went to Verwood it was gorgeous. We are members of Camping and Caravan Club so tend to stick to their sites. We have only been camping for a couple of years and dont get away as often as we like but er find Camping and Caravan site very respectable.

And dont be daft I dont mind you asking at all

Hi Wayne, yes i have, got a good quote of £349 less the options etc, then realised I'd put the wrong date in, altered this to 2 weeks in advance for the school holidays and it went upto £869 for the same holiday, that ain't right

My MiL had a book called something like 'Dogs Welcome' they had some lovely short breaks all over the place. Could be worth some research!

We did one acouple of years ago with my OH's elderly aunt, so had to be quite specific - bedroom and bathroom downstairs, not too many steps etc.
Depending on budget of course but never had any probs with Welcome Cottages, and the staff couldnt be more helpful when ringing.

I looked at Centre Parcs too, thought it sounded ok price-wise until I realised all the fun looking things to do in the parcs are even more money!!

Of course I would say come to Devon, Beaches, Moors, Zoo, shops, fun play places for kids young and old. Holiday Cottages. Caravan Parks Dawlish Warren has loads of those.
