Just been catching up with this thread, very pleased for you, I was going to say after reading your original post it looked like you really wanted to go and the only thing stopping you was your family, which i think is very sad.
However, you are going, well done you, its a lovely part of the UK. I lived in Somerset for a few years and was very sad i had to leave.
