It really annoys me how much goods are in the shops. Until recently I only bought the famous brands of food, drink, etc.

Now, I try the own or discount brands and there is hardly a bit of difference in quality or taste. I've shaved a good deal of £££s off my grocery bill.

For example, I'd only normally eat the Heinz red sauce at about £1.50. One day, I decided to get the Sainsbury's 'value' bottle at 25p. It tastes EXACTLY the same- better, if anything.

Sure, you'll get some that you don't like, but try the cheaper stuff and you'll be amazed.

I only buy the named brands of stuff like washing powder or toothpaste, etc.

I am afraid that your comment is outrageously sexist .....just because they are ladies of a certain age you liken them to witches! Were you the witch finder general in a previous incarnation?
