Is it normal to follow a large open backed truck with a chipper when it is full of chipped wood? The reason I ask is because I mentioned to my OH that we could do with some of that for the bottom of the hen pen and also the paths on the allotment, so what does he do but go swinging around the roundabout so he can give chase. OMG
So here we are following wood chips, with no idea where they are going to, when he pulls up alongside them at lights, opens the window ON MY SIDE and asks them if he can have the chips!
Anyhow, these guys were great - apparently we saved them a trip back to the yard and they got £10 beer money into the bargain, whilst we got three tonne bags filled with wood chips. Yeay - way to go Mr VVG.
We spent 45 minutes shovelling off the drive into old gravel bags, with one loaded into the back of the car already for the lottie tomorrow.
Still can't believe he had the brass neck to ask...I wouldn't dare. But I am so glad he did
