I'd like to propose a new thread for the 'General Chat' section of the GYO forum, entitled " Ask Auntie Nicos......."

Radio 2 has "Grill Graham" of a Saturday morning, and I feel that there are so many unanswered questions on this forum, that could so beautifully be answered by our very own Miss Marple, that we are, up until now, potentially missing a golden opportunity.

My first question for GYO's VOMM is this:

Twice in two days now, whilst out pottering in the garden, I have seen earthworms come out of the lawn, and either lie there and die, or get themselves onto the path and die.

Firstly, why do they do this?
and
Secondly, they stay there and just dry up - why don't the birds eat them?

Why do Daffodil Bulbs come up Blind?

It is SO annoying, and if I could plant them elsewhere/deeper, I could just momentarily stop being such a Grumpy Old Woman?
But I doubt it.X
