I'm looking forward to watching it at 10.00 p.m. tonight when I have the big screen to myself. It's a bit scarey to think that it is number 970-something on Sky. I didn't know there were that many channels. Amazing that sometimes you can find nothing to watch!

I watched the first of the new series on freesat last night and although it didnt contain much about veg, it was a nice gentle and enjoyable start to the series.
It was also good to see that others suffered from the winter, like we did.
Its far better for we up north than watching GW from down south.

Totally agree with you there Roger - "gentle" is a lovely word to describe the programme, I really enjoyed it. I did cheat a bit though and ffwded through some of the more flowery bits.

I like the old dude on it. Took me about 5 mins to work out what he meant when the roses were 'deeed'

                        'aye an na ther deeed'

                        ?! dead?

Easy for us up here in Yorkshire Chris, dead in our dialect is "deered"!

I love watching Beechgrove, I watched the whole series last year after Piskie gave us the tip off that it was on. I'd not seen it before that, but now I prefer it to Gardeners World...its just good honest gardening, with no pretentions or fancy camera work
