I make them a lot more now since using Jamie Olivers mug recipe. 1 mug flour, 1 mug milk, 1 egg. Normally as he does we grate pear or apple in the batter, then serve with fruit like blueberries and banana and honey. I have everthing sweet in mine. Sugar, honey, golden syrup, whatever!

Today had savoury ones though. First time, not sure what I think... Had ham, mushroom, garlic, spinach, onion and cheese. The ln wrapped up and baked with cheese on. It did work, but I've a major sweet tooth, so pref them sweet!!

Blimey, I'm not dieting and thought that the 3 I'd had was a bit piggy and am pretty sure it's the most unbalanced meal I've eaten since last year

Not gonna have any today (as I thought it was last week so already gorged)

But to any vegans/lactose intolerant, a nice easy recipe is 650ml of soy milk, and 250g plain flour

I like melted green and blacks with a banana, or sugar/lemon/cinnamon combo. never had a savory one...

Well, Creamy chicken and spinach with the first one!

Jamaica Ginger Cake, Vanilla Ice Cream, Ambrosia Custard and double cream on the other three! Buuuuurrrrrp!

Aaaaand, a nice little stack of them in the fridge for tomorrow!

I usually do a mixture of mince, peas and rice cooked with lots of Worcestershire Sauce, for our main course pancakes, and follow that with cherries and choccy Swedish Glace icecream in pancakes for pudding...but I was a bit late back from work tonight so only got round to making the maincourse!! Nevermind, the rest of the mix will keep in the fridge for tomorrow. Yay!

Go on then, what's Hash, am assuming it means something different to you than what I'm thinking of

I'm guessing as in corned beef hash, what else could it be?

I made chilli/pancake lasagne last night. 2 pans on the go, make 2, layer chilli on top (keeps pancake underneath warm), and then again until required until last one is chilli with a dollop of soured cream, some jalepenos and some grated cheddar over the lot.

                  Nom nom nom.

Does anyone know WHY we have Shrove Tuesday (pancake day?) I think its to use up any perishable materials before the Ash Wednesday fast for Lent, but I could be wrong?

Also, why are all christian holidays that we celebrate in the UK based around food??

Easter eggs, xmas roast, pancake day? I'm not religious but thank you to the hristians for giving me an excuse to eat chocolate, roasties and pancakes

You are spot on snadger, though I'm sure there are very few in this country that follow lent exactly these days.

Today is the day for abstinence, but I don't like giving up on anything, especially not food.

40 days is nothing, especially as I work long days at work and sleep there, so half of those days I'm at work anyway...no chance of giving it up in summer, its festival season!

Well, we'll see how much I want to give up the booze this weekend when I'm going out

crack on you, I was thinking about giving up, giving up. I'll abstain from abstinence.
