Judging by the complete lack of draft Guinness at Tesco this afternoon it should be a good St Paddy's night.

I work for a Co. Donegal lass and a friend went back to live in Co. Cork last year - she says the English celebrate Paddy's day better than the Irish.

Hazel - I am very disappointed. For a girl that appreciates a drop of IPA (!) how can you diss the sacred Guinness?

I go along with all that Nicos, but it has to be Jemeson whiskey. yum yum.

Considering I live less than two miles from Bushmills distillery - Im with you Nicos
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

On this day, I am happy to be in a minority - slainte!

Anyway, can't discuss proper beer on a St Paddy's day thread, JG!

Flew back from Belfast on Saturday afternoon - I've never been on such a quiet aeroplane! We were over in a wee place in County Down celebrating my Granny's 80th on Friday so we headed back on Paddy's Day - t'was bliss.

On our first visit to Dublin a few years ago - we got into a taxi and asked the driver what there was to do in Dublin to which he replied "Dya loik ta drink?" He couldn't think of anything else to do other than visist Temple Bar for drinks, visit the Bushmills distillery and the Guiness place. Made us chuckle.

                Happy belated Paddy's Day everyone.
