Can You Play Any Musical Instruments?

If so, which ones?

I taught myself guitar at the age of 17. I was half decent, but then I gave up for various reasons- I guess I just didn't have the time anymore.

I could play dozens of songs and quite a few solos and 'lead' lines.

Anyway, this week I picked up my guitar for the first time in years and it was like riding a bike! I hadn't forgotten a thing! I didn't need to look up any chords or notes.....I was so proud of myself.

I've spent this week annoying 'er indoors with my renditions of Day Tripper and Live Forever!

I played the recorder at infant school, but whether you could call it music I have no idea . Also learnt the guitar and piano when I was at secondary school but still can't read a stick of music. I use to play by memorising the music.

I play the Euphonium! Although I havent blown a note in a very long time. I was in brass bands etc.

I can play the guitar a bit, but I never really got on with it.

When I was young the bugle and fanfare trumpet (the one without the valves). Then lost my front teeth in an accident so now all I can blow is a rasberry.

I learnt to play the violin as a challenge when I hit 30, not sure why I did this at the time but glad I did

I can play the penny whistle....although I wouldn't go as far as to say very well!

We've got a piano, keyboards, some guitars, mouth organs and Mr Pots latest buy a Didgeridoo but I can't play any of them I have tried but they make it look so easy and its not.

I wasn't even allowed percussion instruments!! I was actually excused from music lessons in my first 3 years at high school, they were supposed to be compulsory, but the Head of Music said that it was a waste of my time, as they couldn't make me any better at it!

I'm completely atonal, with no sense of rhythm at all

I love to sing, but I'm rubbish at it, so I just sing in the car now, where no-one else can hear me!

I tried to learn the Recorder at Primary School, but wasn't really interested. I can (could) play Chopsticks on the Piano, but, having small dumpy hands, I'm not built for keyboards.

Apparently, I have that I have quite good rhythm, and I've always wanted to play the Drums, but haven't yet had any lessons. I will, one day!

My Junior School was very musical and I learnt to play the bassoon from age 7. When I started it was taller than I was. Kept that up until I was about 14, played in school & borough orchestras, concerts at the Town Hall and all that. Gave that up and taught myself to play the bass guitar, played in a few school bands but it all pretty much came to an end when I went to University.

I have piano fingers (long & strong) but not a jot of musical ability, despite trying the recorder & keyboard at middle school.
