It certainly looks a lot clearer and through binoculars (not very good ones) you can see a lot more detail - but I'm sure I've seen bigger looking moons around harvest time when it is rising. I wondered if it would have more of an effect on tides or earth movements etc, but it seems not.

I said the same thing last night. It looked pretty cool early eve but later on it was piddly. Hunters moon around early autumn is much bigger. Not that size is everything

I finally caught a glimpse of it during the night....agree though that it didn't look as spectacular as I'd hoped...but then again, any full moon is spectacular to see here (where there are no street lights)!

            Lovely piccies chef!

It was HUUUUUUGE as it was rising yesterday evening, but smaller as it rose. Still bigger than normal, and it was a lovely clear frost night, so great for stargazing when I took the Pup out for his late night 'visit' - would have stayed out longer but I was only in my jammies!

It seemed to be bigger and brighter to me. Lovely.

Driving to a friend's 30th last night and I said to LadyWayne - "wow, look at the moons, it's huge! and it looks like the sun" as it slowly came up from the horizon.

We didn't realise quite what it was at the time - then LadyWayne read/heard about it somewhere.

                    Brilliant.

I'm the wrong side of the mountain to see - wasn't "fit" to drive up the mountain, so I missed it!

I was lucky enough to be fishing on at a beach in Frinton-on-sea sunday evening, when the moon popped up over the sea it was amazing!! There were people everywhere taking photos, one guy took a photo of my personal best flounder (carefully returned, due to a severe lack of flounder these days...and me not liking them!!)
I'd like to think i'll end up on a local calender or something! probably not though.
