I can't beleive it, but there seems no other explanation. A while ago when I broke my wrist, I took off my wedding and engagement ring, and put them in my purse. My hand was swelling, and i didn't want to loose them. Stupidly, I never moved them, they were 'safe' in a seperate section to money and cards. Yesterday evening I cleared out the car, putting everything in a carrier bag, and left it in the kitchen. Tonight I come home to find OH had put the rubbish out to the bin men, including the carrier back of car stuff, without checking what was in there..
I've lost around £100 in cash, my rings, will need to cancel cards etc. He's lost a nintendo ds, plus 3 or 4 games. Because I was in a hurry I'd just collected it all up, so there was rubbish in there too, and he thought it all was.
We've been married 30 years, so losing the rings is a major upset, and I can't even find one similar on the net. I will have to report it to get a lost property number I think, then claim on insurance, £50 excess, and lose no claims, but I suppose that's why we pay. However we haven't any receipts for them, so I don't know what I can do to prove we had them.
