New Upgrade - Moans, New finds & where have things gone?!

This may be slightly off topic, and possibly nothing to do with the new upgrade but i've finally got round to trying to change my avatar...

I'm using a link to photobucket, every time I click save it says failure writing temporary file..

It was doing that before the upgrade -I presume directory permissions have changed? Maybe as part of a managed security feature if the server is managed?

Also, VBSEO are implementing a disable of the like notifications in their next release - Allow users to enable/disable the likes notifications in the tool bar - vBulletin SEO Forums I'm not sure what the deal is with licensing/upgrades but if that's an issue then once my stuff at home has died down (lots of work going on) I'd be happy to go through the source and write a fix, if it could be provided.

Can anyone recall???....On the New Posts page....was there a lot less writing???If so- what's been added????
I know the icons are bigger- but what else changed??..it looks so much more crowded.

I think the avatar has to be saved on your hard drive rather than on another website.

I think - can't be absolutely sure- that there was no 'started by' bit, and the replies and views were in a column with just numbers - a bit like the current money saving expert forum [it's alot more like the old vine so have a look and see]....so each thread has much more text than it used to have. Easier to scan the old way...

Zaz- you're right ( as usual !!!) ...I've just looked at that forum...the headings cut out a lot of the extra words on the page.

Well i may have not been a member here long, but this out with the old, and in with the new just does not do it for me!! We may well need new update's and soft-ware or whatever you call this newfangeld
stuff! But i liked the old ways better. Change is not always better. Ok rant over.

I've discovered something I DO like (to offset the bits I don't like). Now when I post to a thread it is easier to navigate to the next one to read. Before I had to go back to the list of threads if I had 'quoted' anyone or used 'advanced', only the 'quick Reply' didn't leave me on the 'most recent' position; new version it stays where I want it regardless of posting details!

When you reply, "Go Advanced" - they're in there.

(but they're horrible, I can't tell the difference between them. They all just look like yellow circles to me)

I've noticed that when you click on the word "TOP" at the bottom of the screen, it doesn't take you back to the top of the page anymore! (And I'd only recently found out about how to do this as well). We have to scroll up to the top of the page instead.

Also, on the home page, the green box showing Newest Posts,Top Posters etc isn't working again.

Will either of these be fixed please?

Apart from that I think eventually we'll all get used to this new style - we will!!
