There was a major, unexpected malfunction of the server, which then had to be replaced... Poor Dave has been working flat-out to get us back up and running, but it's still ongoing. The trouble with 'New Posts' is that it involves a search, but as the indexing of the site isn't fully sorted out yet, the search function isn't working. It'll all come right soon

It's so frustrating just to be locked out, at least now they've put a notice saying "site down for maintenance". If people are kept informed what's going on, they're a lot more patient and forgiving

If you just want to find threads that you've posted in, try 'Settings', top right - that gives you your subscribed threads list. Not as good as New Posts, but at least you'll see if someone has replied...

Has Dave tried thumping it with a spade? It always works for us down the lotties when thing go wrong.

As an ex IT professional I know what the pressure is like when the brown stuff hits the fan and how thankless clients can have unrealistic system recovery timescales, so well done Dave - whoever you are - for putting in the hours and getting us back up and running.
