I like the idea of growing things on verges, especially country lanes. It pleases me when I see fruiting trees by the lanes for anyone to help themselves.

We dont get many primroses here, suspect it's to do with hedge destruction in the past. I used to love seeing them in the Cornish lanes as a kid, and the violets.
