As a doctor's daughter, who lived on a notorious accident blackspot whilst growing up, I would never condone drink driving, even before the breath test. I no longer ever drive after even one drink. I would rather get a fine for illegal parking than risk someone elses life or my licence.

Yesterday a friend was taken ill in the pub I was in, my car was outside but (although not drunk) I'd had two glasses of wine. I offered to pay for a taxi. He called his son-in-law.

Oh, and I've come a cropper with the mods before now. I'm still here. It's the best forum I belong to. Now they've sorted the speed I'm back with a vengeance

We all did silly things in our youth well I know I did and fun they were.

I grew up in a generation in which drink driving was acceptable because we did not know the consequences. I like most others have learnt better and like Janie will no longer have even one drink and drive and I love real ale and malt whisky.

My son and I even take turns to drive the works van. Tomorrow is my day so no nightcap tonight I have to sit and look at the bottle of Glenfarclas 50 year old. I am no angel just don't want anyones death on my hands or to go to jail for causing that persons death.

Zebedee you have been on the forum a lot longer than me and I have already had my wrist slapped. We don't always see other peoples point of view what I thought of as an obvious joke wasn't in the eyes of some and thats what Mods are for.

I think it was Rabbie Burns that said 'see ourselves as others see us'. Sometimes our posts may seem innocuous to US, but the majority of people may find them offensive.

Really sorry you feel the need to leave.
I can assure you your thread wasn't deleted by the politcal correctness police, but in response to others complaints.

When I was 30 year younger I thought I was invincible, could do what I wanted with out any consequences. 30 years on I realise just how lucky I was not to be seriously injured by some of the daft things I did. I've been modded in the past and I'm sure I'll be modded in the future but that's life, and that's why we have modes. We all live and learn Zeb, it would be a shame if you left us under a cloud mate.

Go away for a bit - count to ten, have a little thunk and come back inside. You'll see in the grand scheme of things a couple of removed posts is a meagre price to pay.

Don't think I've been either - or it was so gently I didn't feel a thing! Either that, or my views are so mediocre and dull that no-one has objected to them!

You are just too lovely for anyone to consider it Flum, whereas I think I've just been jolly lucky.
