I am the proudest Mum tonight, My daughter Flowers ( on here ) has just been made Miss Newton Abbot 2011, in other words this years Carnival Queen, well done and Congratulations, Love you loads and on your birthday too.

Thank you so much everyone, we arrived at the meeting and all sat in a room, the girls had all written a letter to say why they wanted to be this years Carnival Queen, apparently according to a couple of other people who had read it, said it was a lovely letter, the carnival committee were there but the judges were members of the town council, each girl was called into a room where they were asked questions about themselves, then Flowers was called back in, she came out, then two others were called in together. The judges then came out and annouced the winner was Flowers. I was nearly in Tears.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
