  • Pagan / New Age advice needed

Two friends of ours are getting 'partnered' back up in Derbyshire where I come from. We can't make the do, but I'd like to send them 'something' from down here that signifies love/good luck/harmony.

We live near to Avebury & Stonehenge and while I'm not gonna chip a bit of rock off the stones (LOL! ), are there any bits of plant or tree or water that could be given as a sort of token?

All that sounds a bit odd (and not very well expressed), but I'd like to send them something that isn't just a card from us.

Try oak tree/seedlings, oaks were the heart of the Druid sacred grove.

I would give her a Trug or basketmade of Green Willow; to bring out her feminine side, http://www.whitedragon.org.uk/articles/willow.htm.

Perhaps some Holy Water from the Goddess Well at Glastonbury, or a nice piece of Rose Quartz (Harmony and Love), or a Willow or Oak wand! Just a few quick thoughts, I'll have a further think and see what we can come up with!

Maybe something in a Celtic pattern SBP. These patterns signify the eternity of matters, the never ending bonds of love and friendship , the no beginning or end concepts, and can be found on items which cost next to nothing or quite expensive. They can be made from wood, metal, slate, stone. I hope you can find something which just fits the bill for you.

Alice I like the idea of a Celtic pattern, but which one? Maybe on a piece of wood or pebble? I'm not sure about Glastonbury Mrs D., it always seems so commercial when we've been there. But maybe a willow/oak wand?

            Interesting ideas...keep 'em coming, thanks.

I have a lovely 'Green Man' plaque hung on the wall which I cast and painted myself!
Might stick a photo on the vine some time as I am quite proud of it/him! Reminds me of my Brother for some reason!

Or a quaich (friendship cup) SBP. They come in Celtic designs with an explanation of the symbolism. You can see some here.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll have to go for a walk here abouts and see what I can find or what inspires me.
