One of my greatest musical memories was seeing(AND HEARING) Black Sabbath in 1969 just after Paranoid was released
I was lucky enough to live only 12 miles from the centre of London at the time so I got to see most bands that were worth seeing from 1967 - 1971
                Too many to mention.

BW the reason I include Oasis in my line up is that when they played Knebworth I was one of the drivers that moved the stage for them. That was one of the best things I ever was involved in.I may tell the story one day when I can put all the pieces together

I've really had trouble deciding on this one, and am still not sure.

                        Schubert: Unfinished Symphony
                        Beatles: Here comes the sun
Beach Boys: Sloop John B (simply for the line: 'I feel so broke up, I want to go home' which might apply if I were stranded on a desert island)
                        Charles Trenet: La Mer
Piaf: complete works including Je ne regrette rien

I have tried and failed to select a top 5 as my music taste is very varied and equally dependent on moods and surroundings, but here are 5 that are special to me for various reasons
Motorhead - Overkill (was a roadie on the Ace of Spades Tour)
Capercaillie - Outlaws (I played this on my walkman endlessly when I was walking from Glasgow to Cape Wrath for charity in '94)
I Will Follow - U2 (Other than Joshua Tree, I still think Boy is the best entire album they have made - not one poor track)
Sealed With A Kiss From a Rose - Seal (sounds morbid but was played at my mates funeral and at my wedding)
War Pigs - Black Sabbath (Remember this as a stand out track - but love Sabbath - have done since I was a kid)

There are so many more to choose from but c'est la vie
                              Rat

                              British by birth
Scottish by the Grace of God

So a couple of weeks later than intended, work has commenced on my anti-ratty tunnel today.

Dismantling the existing structure was a lot harder than I expected, a lot of stuck screws that no amount of WD-40 would liberate! So a lot of action for my sharp mate Stanley, my hand axe and my...
