Didn't want it yesterday - my little sis got married but it rained last night. Not sure how much we got but the pavement is still wet, the soil's not looking so dusty and the clouds are greying back up. Yay!

We've had rain overnight - everything smells lovely, and the lawn is twice the length it was yesterday!

Sun is out now, and it's bliimin warm again.

Got my wish overnight - it's still persisting down too! When I was cleaning the hens out this morning I could hear it running off their roof and trickling into the water butt, Fantastic!

We had two hours of rain mid-afternoon yesterday and a little more overnight. Now the sun's out again.

Waterbutt is now half full but, it seems a weed fairy has come overnight and planted thousands of seedlings??? How is that even possible. In less than 12 hours my veg patch has gone from looking all formal with straight lines of veg and salad crops to a complete mess with weeds shooting up everywhere. Ground is too wet to hoe so will see how this afternoon goes with the strong wind and brightening skies. Just when i thought i was managing the weeds :/

Wifey said similar about the onion patch bud,but on the plus side as the weeds are happy getting a drink so is everything else 10 more Gladiola spikes have appeared since Friday

We had lots of beautiful rain too. The bird baths filled up to the top all on their own, and the pond is looking a lot nicer too.

The only minus is that the lawn has decided to double the rate of growth, and zillions of weeds have germinated overnight.

We had a night of good rain too.. went out with my pointed stick at 7 am and dispatched a good few slugs. Going to plant my peas and beans down the lottie in the morning now the soil has had a good wash.

Thought we were going to get some this morning - in fact we had about ten drops. Family picnic in the local park at lunchtime (that usually ensures we get wet), so we took the raincovers for the prams, and still no rain.

Very true Just finished the hoeing and the weeds from the start of the hoeing look to already be dieing out on the surface so that was a nice introduction to the effect of a downpour Glad i was off work to tackle it as and when rather than fret all day and rush home. At least i know i can leave it until the evening.
