Well, what a let-down. We were promised rain overnight but it has only just started to spit! If this is the best it can do it's pathetic. Weather forecaster's shouldn't toy with a woman's emotions like this!

We have rain too!!!!!!!! Mind you, gave the poor baby blackbirds the shock of their young lives as it hasn't rained since they hatched and they're all but independent now

I was so disappointed this morning to wake to no rain at all. Don't dispair just yet Flummery - we had spitting for about an hour and THEN the heavens opened - bliss pure bliss.

I hope it's moving on up then. If I promise not to dance nekkid in it, do you think it will oblige?

Perhaps if you promised TO dance nekkid, it might.

chucking it down in Newcastle, this is the first year I have looked forward to it. It's amazing what growing a few veg will make you wish for.

Not a drop here.Sky's been threatening with rain all day-some angry looking clouds around, but nothing.Well,at least got some more sowing done(less seed packets as I'm chucking everything) into the ground)and washing is nearly dry.

It was nice, but the 8.0mm we had has not done a lot on the clay here as I discovered when I went to fork over a currently bare patch of soil.

My 2 month old waterbutt has been bone dry until today when i came home. Its now 1" full but still not to the tap lol. A downpour is predicted over night though although the severity has weakened over the last hour with heavy rain at 4am instead of from 1am.
