So there I was, talking to my chum and chumlette about their new veg garden, discussing the planting plan, soft fruit etc, nice cup of tea in hand and then she said the dreaded words - 'I've got a load of flower seeds, can we use them, had them for a couple of years or so?'.
I'm trying to finish some of the seeds I bought last year, not to mention those I bought with me from the UK and my Heritage Seed Library packets.
I was strong, I thought of having to eat all the biscuits so I have a nice tin for them and finished my tea.
And I said ............
'Probably, let's have a look at them'
So yesterday I spent the whole morning putting in her seeds into another 20 seed trays or more and I still seem to have a net surplus of another 15 or so packets! Not to mention the veggie seeds I put in for them, the main problem now is that I've got all the trays lined up along the very wide coping stones on top of a wall at the back of the house cos there's NO MORE SPACE - Arrrrrrrrrgh!!!
I promise the great goddess of gardening that apart from France Rurale, Jardiland and Heritage Seed Library I'll try not to go anywhere that I'll be tempted by seeds for 'next year'.
