Now this I can have a better go at

1 - early new pots (ideally cooked with mint and served with lashings of jersey butter) hmmm, heaven
                    2 - curly kale
3 - calabrese (green tree altho purple sprouting works as well)
4 - freshly picked strawbs for the three weeks we have our own
5 - baby broad beans steamed with olive oil and garlic.

Oops hear tummy rumbling now, better go for brekkie.
                    Bright Blessings

It will be interesting (in the fulness of time) to go through the results and produce a grapes' top 10. (whoops, have I just got myself a job?)

                              My all time favourites are:

                              Runner beans,
                              alliums
                              parsnip
                              courgette
                              blackberries

Parsnips and blackberries for the wine making, runner beans for the magic of the first off the bush; alliums (garlic and onions) absolutely make a meal and courgettes turn into marrows - more wine!

My list, in no particular order, would have to be

                                Climbing Beans
Sweetcorn - so much better fresh, it's worth the ground.
                                courgettes
                                Leeks
                                Parsnips

... I need more than five! Those are the five that I always grow, I could go on for ages, spinach, cabbage - any type, lettuce, asparagus (first year of growing this year). Then there is the fruit, currants various, raspberries likewise, pears, cherries, apples - I grow all these and more. I can't stop, it's driving me mad...........
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!
