GrapeVine Problems

For heaven's sake, how long before this gets sorted out??? We have been told that the Vine will be going down again for sorting, but it still hasn't happened. New posts and various other searches aren't working, and the whole thing at the moment is totally user unfriendly. Please, please, someone get it sorted or you will lose members. We are all getting increasingly frustrated!!!

I've contacted Admin and asked for an update.

Yes it IS very frustrating...(you should try doing modding and checking out spam without half the buttons working.)

Apparently it's been an awful lot more complicated than originally expected ....bit of a knock on effect of stuff needing upgrading...

We'll certainly let you know as soon as we find out.

Nope it's not the same atmosphere and it's not flowing as usual...but they'll get there in the end. I hope we don't lose members over this...'support in the time of need ' jumps to mind.
Hang on folks....you know it'll be worth it in the end....this forum is far to popular for Admin to let things just drift away

tbh the stuff Dave has to do is really really complex. Sure it is all going as fast as pos. GYO aren't a stupid bunch, this forum is a huge asset to the mag they won't let it be this carp any longer than needed.

We do realise it's complicated, and I think most of us are prepared to wait for it to be sorted. I think it's the lack of information that is really getting to us.

It is frustrating I agree, but I'd be more frustrated if the Vine was completely down. I hope they can carry on doing the running repairs because I really miss you all when I can't come on here. (How very dare you think that I should get a life? I've got one that I enjoy sharing with you). Gird up your loins, keep a stiff upper lip and carry on regardless is what I'm doing. It's worth seeing I can tell you, but I'm not posting any pictures.

Hi,

I've been trying to add a little picture to my profile which might help explain the name I've chosen. I've resized it to 81x100px and 24.0kb, so I thought it would be okay, but I keep getting an 'unable to save' message.

I can't work out if there's something wrong with the picture or whether it won't upload because of a site glitch so I wondered if anybody could help.

I feel a bit silly starting a thread all about it, so I hope it's okay to tag it onto this one.

I think it's the lack of information that is really getting to us.

The thing to remember regarding that is Mods cannot inform the members until Admin inform the Mod's.
Admin are between the devil & the deep blue sea they can either shut it down for an indeterminate time & do the lot or repair/revise as much as possible then shut it down for the "last knockings".
I would hazard a guess that the lack of recent posts from Mod's s due to them needing to search the forums as we do,the difference being we only look at those that interest us while they have to read them all.

YAY - news at last!! The forum will be offline late Sunday/Monday for the final fix. Thanks so much to the mods for letting us know. I really looking forward to getting up to speed again

I have been trying to start getting on here the last few weeks and yes its not the same place and I have found it very frustrating not being able to easily see if I had any replies since I last came on but lets hope this final fix really does what it says on the tin - i.e. its FINAL and its a FIX then you wont be able to get rid of me
