Where we used to live, we had two under-counter fridges, as one isn't big enough if you have a beer drinker in the family.
We gave away the under-counter freezer, and bought an upright freezer and put it in the shed. Mr.G is totally incapable of labelling anything before it goes in the freezer, so a chest freezer is a no-go for us. The upright has drawers which I have clearly marked, so even he can't get it wrong!
Our old neighbour has a posh Yankie-doodle unit, plumbed in to the water supply, the fridge is lovely, but the freezer isn't big enough, he says.
