I am beginning to think that the TV remote control is the worst thing ever invented. If Himself had to get up to change the channel, I would not have to sit through 4 or 5 minutes of football/rugby/darts/cricket/etc every 15 minutes. I am not a lover of advertisements, but it would be infinitely preferable to the sport. To add another dimension to this rant, we now have "live pause". This is a button that when pressed enables Himself to go upstairs to the loo, wander around looking out of the front and back bedroom windows and then to make his way slowly downstairs and into the kitchen to get a drink, whilst I sit waiting patiently for his return and the continuation of the programme. This button is also deemed useful if he cannot remember what other programme the actor has been in, as it enables him more easily to concentrate on the still frame. The fast forward button is a great boon for recorded programmes as he is able to skip the adverts completely, but this can sometimes be a bit of a nuisance after a few beers as there is a tendency to miss the beginning of the programme. This then involves a bit of to-ing and fro-ing before it's sorted. I could go on, but I think this is enough for now

They aren't toerags TS, they are poor deprived youngsters in today's society, where they don't have adequate facilities or recreation areas and so are forced to turn to crime as there is "nuffin to do innit"


My rant:
Politicians interfering in the legal system. The punishments being handed out to those poor deprived youngsters (and not so youngsters) who rioted recently are perfectly reasonable in my eyes. Its not the simple fact of the crime committed that is the issue, it was the widespread fear their actions engendered amongst the law abiding majority that is being punished. Huzzah and hurrah I say.

Windows 7 (at least I think it is the cause) - every typo I make it seems to regard as an attempt at a keyboard shortcut and takes the cursor to random locations all over the document. Driving me nuts at the moment - is this an undercover attempt by Microsoft to make us all type more accurately?
