Stupid rain, when we've got a week off work and it's forecast torrential rain most of the week, and 'light rain' thereafter.....

I went ot make apple and vanilla jam, got all the apples and the sugar, thought about using fresh lemons, only had two and wanted to use them for something else, so I thought hmm...use the lemon juice int he bottle. Nope, it's lime juice, too late, already put it in.......aaaaRRRRGGHHH!!!

I have just started making these again after a break of a few years and keep cooking 'a bit longer' to be sure it sets! I just can't seem to judge it yet.

Dear BBC.

When you say Sunny Intervals for my Sunday weather forecast - did you fail to spot the HORRENDOUS RAIN inbetween these sunny intervals? Because, I can't be the first person to spot this - IT'S THE CHUFFIN RAIN I'M TRYING TO CHUFFIN AVOID BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO DRY 3 LOADS OF WASHING FOR THE WEEK AHEAD AND 2 MINUTES OF HORRENDOUS RAIN COMPLETELY WIPES OUT A DAY OF CHUFFIN SUNNY CHUFFING INTERVALS SO WHEN THE **** ARE YOU GOING TO ******* GET THE ******* WEATHER RIGHT FFS.

Echo Zazen - BBC local weather forecast said clear skies this evening and we just had a huge thunderstorm with lots of sploshy - Forecasters - please look out of the bl**dy window. Or use seaweed or something cos your bladdy computers obviously have no idea what is actually going to happen.

No rain here 20 mins down the road...confused

You know yesterday's rain - well, it came down like that for 10 mins with no spits or spots [I was in the greenhouse]. One minute nothing, next Whammo - thought the glass was coming down.

And that was bad yesterday too. Bnkers weather patterns we have now and this year's growing season, well, don't get me started!

Waking up this morning with bad back pain, unable to walk it off, sit it off or bladdy anything it off.

Got nothing done all day and hobbling round like an old codger and don't say it.

Doing some minor pruning around the pond (in the pond, chainsaw in hand) and suddenly finding a slightly deeper area than its surrounds, meaing the water rose just above a comfortable area, causing me to have a Barry Gibb voice for a few seconds, whilst Mme P was bent in half she was laughing so much.

Hangovers, not mine for once, but that of people who are supposed to be working today.

Mr OWG's company.... he and one other person reached their 10 year service over 2 weeks ago. He was told that there would be a £200 voucher, plus £100 for a a meal out for the two of us - this would all come in a letter.

Over 2 weeks later, he has nothing (neither does the other person) and no-one at the company knows anything about it, and it's no ones responsibility.... GGRRRRR

At my work, this is part of my job, and I would be dragged across hot coals for messing up someones long service awards....
