Having to pay a second washing machine repair man (the first couldn't fix it 'cos it was "a circuit board problem, not mechanical") close on a hundred quid for him to lever off the control dial, squidge in a bit of what looked very similar to WD40, shove the dial back on, give it a few brisk turns, use the loo and depart!

Managers that criticise the way you do your job even though they can't do it themselves...and they are supposed to have trained you

Staff who try to tell you that it takes an hour to do a job that you know for a fact takes 15 minutes because you know how it's done and they've forgotten that you trained them in the first place. So just to put them all in their place on Friday and because we were very short staffed, I did the job for them and was told off by my manager for "firefighting"

I have one of those. He's a builder and there are tiles missing from our roof, there is no real kitchen (stripped out about 10 years ago and never replaced) and I do all the decorating. To be fair though he has been ill...forever.
