I am so sick of not having enough money

Its a week after payday and I have no money left... all the bills are paid and we have a months worth of food, but that's it. There is less than £10 left in the bank account until the middle of July, and I still have to find some money for a new freezer and an MOT for the car we are selling.

I know that it's all our own fault for getting the debt in the first place, but that was 10 years ago. I'm so sick and tired of it all. I don't want fancy holidays and new cars... I just want to be able to buy and post a birthday card if I want, or have lunch out with the girls at work.

Last night I put a sunflower plant (about 6" high) in each of my recycled waste bins in which I used to grow carrots. They've both gone, totally eaten by slugs I would imagine. Better turf out the bins then. I hate slugs and snails.

Someone has taken another four drain covers off the storm drains on the road out of the village. That makes 19 gone in the last 15 months. It takes highway maintenance up to 5 weeks to replace them and until then we are left with cones over them, which the quarry lorries soon flatten and knock aside.

        Endless wonder.

Ofsted - coming to school today. I am more than likely to be observed as the French is new this year at school.
Why couldn't we have got the call to say they were coming Monday and Tuesday when I don't work!?!

Stupid little plastic hanging thingy for drying smalls on the line. Cheap and nasty, but bought to save money by avoiding using the tumble dryer. Fell apart on first use, depositing said smalls (all white) on the wet ground.

Smalls now re washed and in the dryer - not much of a chuffing saving there!

The total utter pillock in the Garage, who told me my car needed a new 'Drag Link Arm' for MoT. Said item was then duly purchased, and a friend fitted said item, in his lunch hour, as a favour to Mr.G who was out. Back to Garage to be told he didn't mean that, he meant this, (pointing to the chuffing Track Rod). Told him he owes me £65 quid for the part, as they won't take it back now it's fitted. He can't get away with it either, as the printed sheet clearly states 'Drag Link Arm.'

              Pillock!

Try draining 'em... you might be pleasantly surprised yet. [hug]

my first post in an age and its a rant............multiple uni related ones so sorry guys!

                    1. Why do people NEVER BLOODY LISTEN!! The lecturers are not there as a favour to us! They have a job to do, and it is on us to sit and listen cos they have knowledge we don't. If you listen you won't waste half the session asking questions that you should have heard the answers to first time.........

                    2. We have been told to wear uniforms to skills sessions now......no biggie thinks I, but it would seem many others think the uni is being unreasonable. Honestly, your life can't be that bad if thats all that bothers you.........and now members of my tutor group are going to not wear it in protest......well I won't be bloody joining them, I'll just wear my uniform, cos really, its not that important to me.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! we are adults on an adult course, but I do wonder sometimes..........

Facebook, first thing I do when I get in there of a morning is check my zoo. Today, it just WOULD NOT WORK. OK it was working later on, but I had wasted 3 hours of possible progress by not being able to get in earlier!

My so**ing oven dying halfway through a baking session last night before I could make my victoria sandwich for the horticultural show today. This is the 4th time in 5 years that the element has blown and I can't believe it's because I don't clean the oven 'properly'

He's not, he's 280 miles away. Still need to have a rant about him occasionally though.
