Minor Rant Thread part 4

Thoughtless relatives.

Christmas Day I went to theirs, taking a bottle of wine, Shloer and Elizabeth Shaw mints (which didn't make it to the table). Oh, and prezzies for 5 (I came away with one).

Today 3 of them came to me and they brought zilch, although they were happy to munch through the pre-lunch nibbles, shovel away three courses and seconds, quaff the drink and then fall upon the chocolates and biscuits after a three course meal. And............ didn't lift a finger throughout, even though I did the whole lot single handed. I have just finished clearing and putting away. We are talking third agers here, not thoughtless youngsters.

I wouldn't dream of going to someone's house without taking something.

I've just read through this and I'm not as grumpy as this makes me sound, honest

I can second that sentiment . I'm coughing and spluttering and sneezing only but it's more than enough. Probably some of these folks at the Gardener's Rest spreading the germs

OH's that are unable to navigate the short distance to a bin /sink leaving a plethora of variable litter, crockery, cutlery and condiments on the windowsill behind his armchair. Said sill is now stained with red wine along with the cream coloured curtains which have also recently acquired a light spreading of marmite.

This morning; 2 empty packets of crisps, 1 half empty packet of crisps, 1 dirty plate, 1 dirty fork and 1 half empty glass of red wine. Oh and 1 half empty bottle of red wine on the floor with no top on it.

Should I look on the bright side and say half full? I think not.

Had another letter from the private parking company that "caught" me parking without displaying blue badge, if i dont pay within 14 days they want £150, then after that if i dont pay they take me to court!.

They know what they can do with their summons!

I resemble that remark, it's rare I share anything but I draw the line at germs.
