I know, I moan about my Dad a lot, but he's seriously getting on my nerves. He persistently winds the Pup up, then complains when he jumps up and either scratches him with his (newly clipped) claws, or grabs at his hands (he's very soft-mouthed, and never bites), or puts dirty foot-prints on his clothes. If he didn't wind him up, he wouldn't do it.
My folks have had dogs for as long as I can remember, but, I suppose, if he (Dad) hasn't learnt a little about their behaviour in his 72 years, he isn't going to.
I now have a pup, who is in need of a good walk, but now has a pulled shoulder because he's been 'boinging' around like Zebedee. I'm at the end of my tether with him (Dad, not the poor dog).

A condensed version of a phone call from my mother.
Her "Do you remember so and so?"
Me "I dont think so"
Her "Yes you do he used to live at such and such"
Me "Nope doesnt ring any bells"
Her "O you must, his daughter went to your school"
Me " In my year?"
Her "No a couple of years below you I think"
Me " No still cant place him.
It went on in this vein for a few more minutes then I gave in
Me " O I think I remember him now, why whats he done?"
Her "He died"

someone should invent a "rant machine" for people to moan at, it would have a mike, screen and input function. maybe it could reply with pithy (but often helpful) comments!
