Made a fruit crumble today, with garden apples from the freezer. Last time there wasn't much juice in these apples, so I asked DD to add just a splash of apple juice to the fruit whilst I was making the topping. At nearly 22 she should know a splash from a glassful. So, very cross-making, my crumble is now a mass of sogginess as the crumble topping absorbed the juice. No one wants to eat it now. What a waste.
