Going out for lunch with closest work colleagues, getting to the table and seeing a "Good Luck" balloon. Having a chocolate cake baked for me by one of the girls (who also leaves this week), then getting back to my desk afterwards and having a little gift, card and another card with "Do Not Open Until Sunday" (my birthday).

Anyone would think they're trying to get me stay!

Colour makes me happy, more than I'd realised. I was feeling sorry for myself (have pulled my back quite badly) so just bought some new towels in Asda: cobalt blue & turquoise. Amazing how a shot of colour perked me up (I'm easily pleased)

Despite having a particularly bad year at the lottie...my fault not the weather,harvested four apples,two pears(first so far)and loads of plums...and still more to pick.
Also noticed several squash awaiting their destiny

Finding a tie in the pocket of a jacket I bought in a charity shop recently. It is a nice tie in any case, but it also complements the jacket well.

My courgette fritters!

Nowt in the house til pay day except a mountain of courgettes, my own chooks eggs and loads of onions.

Was getting a bit sick of frittatas so decided to experiment with courgette fritters ........................and they are LUSH!!!!
Just ad libbed a bit adding grated onions,courgettes,eggs,flour,chedder cheese,cumin and of course chilli's.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING ALL MY LIFE??????

I could LIVE on these alone!!!!!
