Spring flowers. I just went for a very short walk around the block and there are so many gardens with daffodils and hyacinths in, the smell of the hyacinths in my front garden makes me smile every time I open my front door. They are such a lovely smell.
Also I've got some little bluey-purple flowers in my border and I was wondering what they were as I didnt remember planting them, then realised they were probably the anemone bulbs I put in last autumn, and having googled them, they are!!! They are so pretty and so easy to grow. Spring flowers and sunshine makes me a happy girl.

Rain. Gentle, steady, warm rain. Soaking into the grass clipping mulch on my spuds and bringing out the fragrance of newly cut grass and spring flowers. Bliss. I cannot breathe it in deeply enough!!When the Devil gives you Cowpats - make Satanic Compost!

Daffs. Loads and loads of Daffs.
Even better than that - my new garden appears to have millions of Primroses - one of my absolute faves. Beautiful little sunny yellow faces everywhere. I can't wait to have a day at home to get out there and get started!All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

At last!!! The sale of my mum's bungalow has completed and my stepson and his girl-friend are moving their stuff into it as I type! It's been a lo-o-o-n-ng time happening.
Further bonuses, no more practically empty milk/juice cartons put back in the fridge, no more mega-tons of laundry (he's of the, "If-you-wear-it-for-longer-than-one-hour-it-needs-washing" school of thought.)
No more opening his bedroom door, clapping my hand over my mouth, closing the door and creeping away trying to pretend that bomb-site is not part of my house. No more 45 minute showers. No more swampy bathrooms. No more wondering where the airing cupboard full of clean towels has disappeared to. No more mud-crusted rigger boots dumped in my newly cleaned porch.
His girlfriend is such a lucky girl.
(Thing is, now he's moved out he'll probably treat HIS place as if it's some sort of shrine to cleanliness!)Last edited by Creemteez; 24-03-2012, 03:55 PM.When the Devil gives you Cowpats - make Satanic Compost!

OK, I'm a saddo;
These days, I generally spend my working time, on my knees, pulling weeds from other folks' gardens. Today, I spent a happy hour, on my knees, pulling weeds from my own garden!

Reminds me of the Cliff Richard song
We're awl going on a busmans holiday
Let's go weeding for an hour or two
Let's do it while the sky is blue
For an hour or twoHe who smiles in the face of adversity,has already decided who to blame
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
