Last month I used a T&M voucher and spent £9.99 on a lucky dip assortment of goodies worth at least £100. The parcel arrived this morning - 3 humungous tattie bags (I'll use them for carrots and parsnips out the back), 3 tomato planters (nice and colourful with printed toms all over), 4 wall hanging planters (thinking petunias), a double hanging basket (whippersnapper toms and petunias?), a window box planter, gloves for scrubbing tatties (I know I'll put them in a drawer and forget about them), a DVD (charity shop), oh and new secateurs (mine are well and truly worn out). Christmas came early to the Frosty household

My job and all the people I work with, I was chatting to another member of staff this afternoon, we were saying how often people say 'Well done, I couldn't do that.....etc,etc'or 'you must really have something to be able to do that work'.....Yep, I have a need for happiness, humour and honesty. The amazing people I support offer all three of those in abundance.

I shouldn't laugh but...

2 guys from the groundworks company came to collect the mini-dump truck we had used this morning.

Completely ignoring the signs on the gate which say "Caution - Dogs Running Free" and "Watch Out - Boxers About"...

And completely ignoring the 12 stone of barking, growling, snapping, hackles-up Boxers on the other side, they came through the gate...

Cue me, rushing outside (I'd been putting shoes on) and finding 2 huge workmen cornered in my garden, whilst the Boxers stood about 2ft away, barking and lunging, standing on their hind legs and 'boxing', for all they were worth, pretty pleased that they'd 'apprehended' the burglars....

Ha! Serves them right!

My 2.5year old the other week grabbed my hand whilst we were outside, and was really urging me to go with her.

"Daddy, COME ON, COME ON".

So I went, she took me to the front garden, behind the cars went up to a small area with some daffs in, squatted down and made me squat down too and then said clear as day:

"Daddy, this is compost". (pointing to the soil)

That made me happy - she's getting the hang of things

Still makes me smile when I think about it.

Catching up with old friends, some that I havent seen for a long time, really makes me happy.

Getting my pic taken at work....I absolutely loathe having it taken but it means they like me....or are at least prepared to put up with me (it's for the communication board, so I figure they want to keep me for at least a little while)
