Meeting my new niece and nephew this week, and spending a lovely day with the family cuddling them today...and discovering nappy changing is a skill you don't lose!

Just seen a recent photo of myself taken at the allotments. The camera must have had a slimming filter on it cause I don't look too much like a chunky monkey in the photo!

Went to Jekkas herb farm today bought a few herbs.
They've got new caterers, had huuuge meringue with loads of strawberries and cream on top.

Plumbing in new washer by myself, its not rocket science I know but I had to humph it in from the car,up steps and through the house, then down steps across the decking then down steps into the utility room (aka the garage).
I dont have the patience I was born with to wait for help!

Finding out youngest has been accepted to do NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care when I didn't even know she was going to do it ........and whats more the company are paying for it one step further ....
Digging up some carrots and having a better harvest than Monty ....

Met a lovely allotment neighbour who introduced herself to us and complimented us on making a good start on our plot (which is nice as to us all we can see is how much work there is to do all the time) and she kindly gave us some broad beans and a bunch of sweet peas which are now in a vase in my living room and have the most gorgeous smell. Its so nice that other people can be so generous-hearted to someone they have literally just met. Hoping I can return the favour at some point.
