Getting slighly worried as I was chucking bread onto the pond and couldnt see the ducks anywhere, calling and calling but no ducks to be seen. Then a slight movement, and I saw mum, her 8 chicks and the new stepdad all waddling towards the pond from the other side, from near the greenhouse. If I had a cute o meter, it would have just exploded.Bob Leponge

The look on the faces of two young local scallywags, who had seen the apples on my tree. They were absolutely astounded when I told them to pick one each. They even asked nicely if I would rinse them so they could eat them straight away and they said thank you. Gave me hope, until I noticed that while I was rinsing the apples, they'd put another couple in their pockets! I had to smile.Granny on the Game in Sheffield
