              • At our local village carnival at the weekend they had a dog show laid on. Large area of the village green/field roped off - lots of hay bails around the perimeter.

Dog show started, man dancing around with dog to music.

Man asks for children volunteers to take part in the show. Approximately ten 6-9yr old kids run up and form a line. Bean ducks under rope and runs to join them.

Man issues instructions and kids follow (spin round, roll over etc). Bean doesn't understand, but copies and joins in anyway.

                So proud!

                • Mme P comes home for lunch, and I open a jar of green tomato chutney that I made in 2008. When she said to me "hmm this tastes like that stuff* you bring back every time you go to England, its really nice" I was a happy man.

                  *stuff = Branston pickle.

                  • I'm proud as punch because Mr Frosty became a Reiki teacher over the weekend He uses Reiki to help control some of the symptoms of his neurological condition. His Reiki teacher believes Mr Frosty is at the beginning of a spiritual path and I have to agree. Mr Frosty's beliefs have always been somewhat eclectic - Church of Scotland with Buddists leanings. So he has a new path to walk and I'll walk along with him holding his hand
