Watching my 10 year old daughter and her classmates doing fabulously well in a swimathon. We (and her teacher) thought they'd be up against other kids but the rest of the teams were all adults! They swam their hearts out and came a hugely creditable fourth. Even more impressive when my girl had already walked the three miles to the pool because we don't have any sunday morning buses!I was feeling part of the scenery

buying a big water tank for £35 and then finding that friends at the lottie had transported it round and put it on my plot for me (cos I couldn't be there)

3yrs 2mth old GD bringing her drawing to show to mum.
'Ooh lovely' says mum, 'what have you drawn?' 'It's says Lucy', says GD, and do you know, it did. All four letters were there, not necessarily perpendicular to the horizontal, but the letters were there.
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.
