  • You know you are old when...............

Thats it - I am now officialy OLD.

Not only am I going to be FORTY! in just over a weeks time (must get around to organising a little party where we can feast on cake (will be no points in the virtual stuff eh) that will be another thread!

but also I have just a young lad from Orange trying to explain about SIM cards to me (condescending little twerp), to no avail and my little sister (of just 10 years) is now going to have to ring me to sort me out!

It turns out that my new SIM for my new phone is bigger than my old SIM from my old phone - ha if you need to ask why then you are old too he he eh eh ehe he - of course unless I can swap them over to transfer my contacts I will be up the creek without a paddle. BOOO HOOOO I was sooooo excited when it arrived this morning too. Ah well may as well go have a wee, make another cup of tea, have another wee then perhaps it will be time for my nap

Oh I forgot to add that I cannot ask Mr D for help as he was most put out that I arranged my own phone all by my little self and he didnt have control of something that would be above the little woman - I AM NOT GOING TO ADMIT HE MAY BE RIGHT!

If you think thats bad, my wife was asking me what I'd like for my 30th next april (thinking I'd want a massive party, and trip someone nice). I asked for a polytunnel!

Actually heard myself say, "Well it wasn't like that in MY day!" to someone last week! - And my Grand-daughter keeps asking me for tales of when I was a little girl as if it were one hundred years ago!:eek
FORTY-SEVEN!!!! I'M ONLY FORTY-SEVEN!!! (Blimey, that looks old when you write it down!):eek

I'm maturing like a fine wine and I'm also determined to grow old disgracefully. Our grandchildren think we're cool because we can use PCs and mobiles. I do know what you mean though Tammy, but it's more to do with keeping up with technology than your age love!

You're old when people go on about popular music and you just don't care. (I've been old since my teens then!)
You're also old when your go 'oof!' when you sit down because your knees are knackered!

30? 40? Whippersnappers, all of you. Next month I will be 21 with 39 year's experience.

And I knew I was getting old when I realised that I was actually looking forward to getting a bus pass. Then I realised that I can't have it for another 14 months because they have brought it in line with the state pension
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

I was a bit dismayed to read in todays paper that our bodies are only designed to last us until we are 25, which is our natural age limit.

So it's all down hill from 25 then!

Hair falls out, eyesight goes, teeth fall out and you look like you've got a wok stuffed up your jumper.

You should feel lucky though,as its all quite natural....................you managed to make it past 25!
